This was my 8-year old son Joe's first backpacking trip. What a trooper he was! We went in to the Frank Church River of no Return Wilderness area for a quick overnighter and had a blast. We did about 12-14 miles (from start to finish) around the Soldier Lakes area. What a great area! I need to get back there and spend some more time exploring and fishing.
